Bianca Barcelo represents employers in all types of labor and employment litigation, including single plaintiff cases, class actions and other representative matters. Bianca is an accomplished attorney with over a decade of experience spanning multiple sectors, including military, government, and public service. Bianca began her career in 2011 with the U.S. Coast Guard on active duty, where she served as legal advisor for military defense and national security operations and oversaw criminal, regulatory, and internal agency investigations. During that time, she honed her expertise in maritime law and operational readiness, instructing law enforcement on use of force, and rules of engagement. As a government prosecutor, Bianca was the lead attorney on numerous courts-martial, gaining extensive experience in trial advocacy.

In 2016, Bianca transitioned from active-duty Coast Guard to the U.S. Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps, where she currently supports the Region Legal Service Office Pacific. In addition to her dedicated military service, Bianca has extensive experience working on labor and employment matters. Prior to joining the firm, Bianca worked as Assistant General Counsel for the Library of Congress, where her practice focused on defending the Library against employee complaints of discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation.

Bianca’s passionate advocacy extends well beyond her clients. She is active in several professional and community service organizations, including the Florida Bar’s Military Veterans Affairs Committee, Lawyers Club of San Diego, and Latinas in the Law. She is also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a “big sister” and Young Professionals Committee member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego, and has been repeatedly recognized for her dedication to the service of others, including as a recipient of the LULAC 2020 Excellence in Service Uniformed Services Public Service Award, 2014 Department of Homeland Security Office of the General Counsel Award, 2014 Latina Style Meritorious Award, 2014 National Image Meritorious Award, and a 2014 Cuban National Council Honoree.
